Stroke is the first cause of physical disability for adults and the second cause in most Western countries. The very frequent anomalies « hole » between the right and the left atria of the heart are a major cause of stroke.
HoliStick develops a transcatheter patch to close heart defects between the right and left heart, such as patent foramen ovale (PFO). A minimally invasive closure of a hole between the right atrium and left atrium of the heart helps to prevent strokes.
